Hi, I’m Brittany!

Bay State Bam was born because I fell hard and fast for the click of the tiles and the strategy of American Mahjong—but my imagination was captured by the laughter and friendships built at the table. As a mom of three young kids, my life is a beautiful, busy whirlwind. I realized I craved a "sacred space" for intentional connection and adult conversation amidst the chaos of parenthood. When I couldn’t find events that married my love for the game with my obsession for a well-executed theme, I decided to curate them myself.

To me, hosting is an art form. There is a unique joy in generating a theme, styling a beautiful space, and obsessing over the small details that make guests feel seen and immersed in the experience. I’ve found that Mahjong is the perfect canvas for this art, and I love nothing more than sharing the "art of the host" with a new generation of players.

I specialize in boutique private events and high-energy Mahjong Bootcamps aimed to get you playing casually and ready to learn as you go. My goal is to strip away the "intimidation factor" and focus on casual play—the kind where it’s okay to ask questions, double-check your card, and prioritize fun over the friction of perfection. The folks at my table will almost always give you the heads up before you discard and miss that opportunity for a joker swap!

When I’m not dreaming up your next event or leaning into my "midlife lady leisure" hobbies, I’m usually running around town with my kids or volunteering with my international sorority.
