We believe that there is room for everyone at the table- and Mahjong is a great equalizer! From age 2 - 100+, there are ways to integrate this incredible game and adapt teaching styles to accommodate all players.
The Bay State Bam Mini and Midi Birdie Bam programs are designed to bring everyone to the table for interactive collaborative gameplay designed to enforce skill building, social interaction, and fun!
Mini Birdie Bam classes are designed for ages 5+ and will introduce players to the game of Mahjong via the Mini Mahjer program. These fun, kid friendly tiles draw kids right in to the game with designs that appeal to all ages and stages - from girly hearts to sports inspired suits, there is something that will draw in every young player! Utilizing the Mini Mahjer card (or Miniest Mahjer Matching Strips), the game is introduced at a level that is digestible and paced exactly right for young gamers.
For the pre-teens who are ready to take on more of a challenge, the Midi Birdie Bams crew is for you! Designed to introduce all elements of gameplay, we utilize the Mini Mahjer Midi Mahjer card to keep the overwhelm at a minimum but give the real experience of playing on true Mahjong Tiles and with NJML rules at play.
Mahjong is for everyone, and you’ll love having the whole family at the table for this enchanting game!
