You’ve caught the Mahjong Bug, it’s time to bring your built-in opponents to the table with Mini Mahjer! Designed specifically for children, Mini Mahjer makes the compelling game of Mahjong accessible for even the smallest of players. Teaching the fundamental rules of traditional American Mahjong with a simplified card and method, Mini Mahjer is a complete system designed for families to come together at the table. Use your National Mah Jongg League card alongside your mini as they learn to identify the tiles, play their own hand, and enjoy the celebratory fun and togetherness that can only happen at the mahjong table.

We’re pairing a modern, accessible approach with a curated aesthetic. Think stunning, uniquely designed tiles, the Midi Mahjer and Taylor Swift inspired “In My Mahjong Era” card, and fun atmosphere full of plenty of vibes and good times.
It’s the perfect mix of high-energy gameplay and a relaxed weekend hangout. You’ll learn the logic behind the tiles, perfect their strategy, and leave ready to host your own game nights.

Join Bunkhouse Creative & Baystate Bam for an evening of MAHJ 101 & vintage jeans with Wardrobe Angels in Hopkinton. We’ll shop, sip, & shuffle. This will be a 1 hour shop & mingle and then a three hour class.
We will be sipping and shopping the Wardrobe Angels curated collection of vintage and new denim, clothing, and accessories from 6-7 PM, then its time to head to the table and get those tiles moving for an engaging and fun Mahjong 101 class!
In this workshop you’ll learn:
•the tiles of Mahjong
•table set up & dealing
•how to read the official play card
•how to play the game
•the social aspects of hosting & creating community
In this workshop you’ll receive:
•an official National Mahjong Play Card (valued at $15)
•table card with tips/tricks/steps for play

•resources for continuing after the class
