Bring your people together with Mahjong
A Taste of MAHJ
Designed for Interaction, Built for Impact
In a world where so much of the day to day work is done in the quiet of home offices or remote locations, let Mahjong bring your team together for face to face interaction, connection, and strategic gameplay. With two options of corporate events, there is something to fit every budget and schedule.
Give your team a lasting skill and the keys to community! Mahjong is popular throughout the country, with gameplay locations and events occurring in all fifty states. Even if your team is regularly remote, this is a lasting gift that can positively impact team members during their time together, and moving forward in their personal lives.
Two Options for a Great Time Together
At Bay State Bam, we know that you and your team are busy with the important daily work of your business. Recognizing that American Mahjong, although not a difficult game to learn is not intuitive for new players, we have thoughtfully crafted options to meet your team at the table in a way that best works in collaboration with your busy schedule.
Designed for fun and efficiency all rolled into one! Participants of these sessions will leave with a basic understanding of the game/goals of the game, and the groundwork to build upon for full gameplay instruction in the future. This option is perfect for groups operating on a time constraint, and can be designed as a singular 2 hour session or scheduled as 2, 2 hour sessions of instruction and gameplay. It is highly recommended that a secondary class with Bay State Bam is organized in conjunction with this option at the time of booking for the group to ensure that all participants learn the full rules of gameplay.
Participants Learn:
How to identify the tiles in an American Mahjong Set
How to interpret the hands on the card*
How to draw/discard tiles, how to make an exposure towards a winning hand.
This variant of the workshop teaches basic fundamentals of American Mahjong without the components that often trip up beginners. The Charleston and gameplay setup with Walls is omitted.
Classes will be taught to National Mah Jongg League Standards, but the NJML card will not be provided or used during class. An abridged card made up of NJML hands will be provided and used for teaching.
Participants Receive:
The foundational skills to build upon as they continue their Mahjong journey.
Resources, tips, and guidance for the next steps in learning gameplay.
A copy of the abridged NJML Card used for teaching.
Trinkets and Prizes during gameplay.
A discount on a second private lesson or guided play.
All lessons are taught on beautiful, boutique brand tile sets, mats, and gameplay accessories provided and set up by Bay State Bam.
