Community Events & Fundraisers

Mahjong, historically, is a community centered game and has deep roots in supporting cultural and social issues. At Bay State Bam, one of our core pillars is giving back and there is no better way than through the click of tiles and joined sense of community at the table!

We offer two options to groups looking to integrate Mahjong into their fundraiser or community event. Have an idea that isn’t listed here? We’d love to hear about it! Email Brittany to get the conversation started!

% Of Proceeds Donation

For events expecting 12 or more members, 25% of the proceeds from each registrants ticket price will be donated to the organization or cause on behalf of Bay State Bam.

  • Donation % amount listed is based on a baseline price of $75/attendee

  • NJML Card is not included when instruction/proceeds are donated on behalf of Bay State Bam. An abbreviated card will be used for teaching purposes only.

  • Class includes: Bay State Bam resources for continued gameplay, trinkets for Mahjong winners, and a discount on an upcoming open play event. Additional swag items/prizes can be negotiated during the planning process.

Class/Event Donation

Is your organization having an event or raffle? I would love to contribute a class as a component of your prize options. Standard class donations include the following as a component of the prize package:

  • Private Instruction for 4 individual players ($320 Value)

  • Bay State Bam Swag Package

  • Mahjong Prizes and Trinkets!

  • 3-4 Hours of Instruction and Guided Gameplay to help your group get to that first MAHJONG!

The National Mahjong League Gameplay Card is not included in donated courses. An abbreviated card will be used for teaching purposes. Participants will be able to purchase the NJML Card at the time of their classes if desired.
